Privacy policy

This policy explains what QuoteCheckPros collects when you use the quote-checking service, why, and what happens to it.

What we collect

  • Your quote. The document you upload or the details you type in, including job description, prices and, for supported car repairs, vehicle make, model, year and engine. Vehicle registration is optional.
  • Account details. Your email address and a securely hashed password, so you can sign in and see your previous QuoteChecks.
  • Payment information. Card payments are taken by Stripe. We do not see or store your card details; we keep a record that a £9.99 payment succeeded and the email address associated with the checkout.
  • Usage analytics. Anonymous, privacy-safe counts of page views and steps completed, using a random session identifier. These records contain no name, email or quote content.

How we use it

Your quote is used to produce your report. Your account details are used to authenticate you and to let you access your own reports. Your email is used for service messages: confirming your account, resetting your password, and telling you when a report is ready. We do not sell your data and we do not pass your quote to tradespeople.

AI analysis

Producing your report involves automated analysis of the quote you supply by an AI model accessed through a third-party provider. Only the quote information needed for the analysis is sent. The result is written back to your account as your report.

Who processes data for us

We use service providers to run the site: hosting and database/authentication infrastructure, Stripe for payments, an email delivery provider for service emails, and an AI provider for the analysis. They process data on our behalf in order to deliver the service.

Storage, access and retention

Uploaded quotes are stored privately. Access controls mean your quotes and reports are visible only to your own signed-in account. We keep your reports while your account exists so you can return to them. If you want your account and its reports deleted, email support@quotecheckpros.com.

Your choices

You can ask us for a copy of the information held about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account and reports. Contact support@quotecheckpros.com and we will deal with your request.

Changes to this policy

If the service changes, this page will be updated to describe what actually happens. See also our terms and conditions and refund policy.
