1. The service

QuoteCheck reviews a quote you have received for supported building, home improvement, landscaping or vehicle-repair work and produces a written report giving an independent second opinion, based only on the information you supply.

2. How it works

1. You choose the category and upload your quote or enter the details manually.
2. You review and confirm the information you have given.
3. You create an account or sign in, so the report can be saved to you.
4. You pay a one-off £9.99 through Stripe's secure checkout. There is no subscription.
5. Once payment is confirmed, your quote is sent for automated AI analysis.
6. Your report is generated and saved to your account, and you can download it as a PDF.
7. We email you when your report is ready, and send service emails about your account.
8. You can sign in at any time to view your previous QuoteChecks.

3. What the report is — and is not

The report is an estimate and a second opinion. It is not a valuation, survey, inspection or professional advice, and it is not a substitute for obtaining further quotes. We do not guarantee that a quote is fair, unfair, accurate or complete, and we do not claim to have live nationwide pricing data. The quality of the report depends on the accuracy and completeness of the information you provide. Any decision to accept, negotiate or reject a quote is yours.

4. Your responsibilities

You confirm that you are entitled to share the quote you upload, that the details you give are accurate, and that you will use the report for your own purposes and not resell or republish it. Please do not upload information you do not need to share with us.

5. Accounts

You need an account to receive and access a report. Keep your password secure; you are responsible for activity on your account. Reports are visible only to the account that paid for them.

6. Payment

The price is £9.99 per report, paid once, in GBP, through Stripe. Analysis only begins after payment is confirmed. If a payment fails or is cancelled, no analysis is carried out, no report is produced, and your quote details are kept so you can try again.

7. Cancellation and refunds

Your report is digital content delivered soon after payment. Our approach to cancellation and refunds is set out in the refund policy.

8. Availability

We aim to keep the service available but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. Occasionally an analysis may fail; if that happens your QuoteCheck is marked as failed and you should contact us.

9. Liability

Because the report is an opinion based on the information supplied, we are not responsible for decisions you make, for work carried out, or for amounts you agree to pay a tradesperson. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
